Lavel Consulting Turns Sammy’s Ice-Cream Dream Into Reality

After over 26 years in business, Sammy’s Kitchen decided that breakfast, lunch, and dinner was not enough. After the Royal Treat closed, Sammy’s Kitchen leaped on this opportunity to fill the void. The Royal Treat was a Rehoboth Beach icon, regularly amassing crowds that put Sunday mass to shame. We know it will take time for Sammy’s Ice Cream to develop a following, but the demand is there, and it is our job to harness it.

Lavel has been working with Sammy’s from idea generation to implementation. Utilizing existing partnerships, like Hershey’s Ice Cream, we swiftly opened up before the Fourth of July weekend in 2023. While the demand for free Ice Cream could move mountains, we knew we needed to generate a return at some point.

After implementing a successful Buy 1 Get 1 campaign, we doubled our top-line revenue overnight. While incentives motivate customers, so does a great product.

Lavel managed everything including outfitting the previous diner space to supporting an Ice Cream Shop. We set employee procedures to ensure a high quality and consistent product. Furthermore, we developed and implemented a comprehensive marketing strategy comprised of digital and traditional solutions.

Lavel Consulting is pulling from it’s international experience living in Europe and Canada, to create an Ice Cream experience that is unique to the Rehoboth Beach area. Incentives are a great lever to draw customers in, but with unique offerings like sugar-crusted Belgian waffles, we will surely keep them coming back. No, seriously, these waffles are truly unforgettable.
